I am a native speaker of Spanish (Spain). I have been teaching at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana for 20 years as a Professor of Spanish and as a coordinator. I will officially retire in November 2020.
I have taught courses that incorporated Spanish translation and proofreading for many years. In addition, I do freelance translations/interpretations—legal, medical, technical, etc. I have experience teaching at bilingual schools.
As an ATA member, I am in touch with translator and professor colleagues to keep track of the latest news, conferences, etc. related to education and translation.
