I came to Notre Dame in the fall of 1984 from Indiana University as the first Tackes professor. During the following sixteen years, I taught undergrad and grad courses, mainly in US migration, Gilded Age & Progressive Era, and US West. I retired in early 2000. I now live in Seattle, Washington.
My address and that of my wife, Suellen Hoy (who also taught history at Notre Dame) is now 12501 Greenwood Ave. N. (C-115), Seattle, WA 98133.
