Sr. Elaine DesRosiers, OP

Dominican Sister of Peace Elaine Virginia DesRosiers, OP, 90 (formerly Sr. Gregory Anne), a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, died on December 16, 2020, at Springview Hospital, Lebanon, Kentucky. Sr. Elaine is survived by two sisters, Janet Fontaine of Sedona, Arizona, and Felice Cottle of Denver, Colorado.

A Dominican for 70 years, Sr. Elaine ministered as a teacher in Kentucky and Massachusetts. She was Director of Educational Media at the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame, IN) for 21 years. She retired to St. Catharine Motherhouse in 2007 where she was an “Artist in Residence” while a consultant/teacher for the former St. Catharine College. She had volunteered at Hope Rescue Mission and Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana.

Arrangements are handled by Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield, Kentucky. Due to the COVID19 pandemic restrictions, graveside services will be private. Burial will be in the St. Catharine Motherhouse cemetery on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date, to be announced.
