COVID 19 Vaccine bottles and Syringe

Dear Retirees of Notre Dame,

I write to share an update regarding the University’s on-campus vaccination program.

As you may know, the University, along with other Indiana colleges and universities, was recently approved by the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) to administer on-campus COVID-19 vaccinations in April and May.

I am happy to share we received enough Pfizer vaccine to accommodate you at the on-campus vaccination center. Appointments for the first dose of the vaccine at the on-campus vaccination center are available beginning today, Thursday, April 8, through Thursday, April 15. The center will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. At your first appointment, you will make arrangements to receive your second dose exactly three weeks from when you received your first dose, between Thursday, April 29, and Thursday, May 6.

You will receive an email in the coming days with a unique link to sign up for an appointment. The email will be from “noreply@coronavirus.in.gov ” with the subject line “You are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine at your campus location." It is important to note that you will need to cancel existing appointments in the local community in order to schedule at the on-campus center.  Additionally, if you receive your first dose at a local vaccination site, the University will not be able to administer your second dose at the on-campus center.

If you have any questions, please contact the COVID-19 Hotline at 574-634-HERE (4373) or covidresponseunit@nd.edu.

To continue to protect the University’s communal environment, the University will maintain its current mask-wearing, surveillance testing, and broader health and safety protocols until further notice.

Thank you again for taking steps to protect the health of our entire community.

In Notre Dame,

Brian Fremeau
Director, Vaccine Administration Team (VAT)
