Free Flu Shots for Retirees and Spouses

  • Location: Stepan Center
  • Date: 10/25/2021
  • Time: 9 AM - 10 AM (one hour only)
  • Eligibility: University Retiree's and their spouses (must show ID Card)
  • No appointment Necessary
  • The University does not have any "Senior Doses".  Anyone who wishes to receive the higher dose vaccine should contact their primary care provider. Some pharmacies will offer this, but retirees should call ahead to verify availability.
  • Multiple convenient options are available for retirees to receive a free vaccine outside of the Flu Blitz. Early Retiree Medical subscribers and Medicare participants can receive a free flu vaccine from:
    • Most pharmacies
    • Their Primary Care Provider (PCP)
    • "Minute Clinic" walk-in sites
    • Appointments are encouraged at all locations, but many pharmacies will offer walk-ins.
    • Urgent Care facilities are not encouraged. While they will provide a free vaccine, they often charge a visit fee, which is not covered at 100%.
  • Postcards have been mailed to the home address of any retiree in Indiana or Michigan.  The delivery date is currently unknown as there are still delays in the mail stream.
